Why is my EV charger flashing red and green?
If your EV won't charge, and is showing an alternating green and red light with an Alarm on your Duracell Energy EV app saying input overvoltage, follow these steps:
Restart the charger (turn off the AC power to the charger via the isolator or breaker, wait for 2 mins before turning this back on) and stand close to it.
On your phone/device:
- Go to your wifi settings, disconnect and forget your home wifi network (be sure to make note of your home wifi password in case your phone does not store this.)
- Connect to the charger's Wi-Fi network (you must stay close to the charger).
- If you are asked for a password, please type in admin123 (all lowercase)
Open your browser and in your URL address bar, type in 192.168.4.1 and click enter. This will then open a login page:
On the login page:
- Enter password: (Found on side of your EV or in the install guide. Please contact us if needed)
- Click Login
Go to charger settings
Select Over Voltage Threshold. There are two options: 253V & 262.2V,
Tick the box of voltage 262.2V and then press Confirm and Exit.
If you are already on the highest voltage range, please contact the DNO for assistance with the Grid Supply voltage being out of a nominal acceptable range
