How to Reconnect Your Dura-i Inverter to Wi-Fi

If your Duracell Energy Inverter goes offline, don’t worry—it can easily be reconnected using the Dura-i app.

When attempting to reconnect to the Wi-Fi please remember the following three things:

    • Check the Wi-Fi is 2.4ghz
    • Connect your phone/Device to the (home) Wi-Fi to ensure the inverter can connect via your phone/device
    • Ensure that there is a light on the dongle.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Download the Dura-i App
Go to the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and download the Dura-i app to your smartphone or tablet. If you already have the Dura-i app, make sure it is on the latest version by going to the app store and pressing update.
  2. Open the App and Select 'Local Access'
Once installed, launch the app. On the login screen, tap the “Local Access” button.
  3. Select the inverter you wish to connect to. Your inverter will start with a 'BLE' number.

If your inverter Serial Number doesn’t appear in the drop-down list please check that:

    • The device is within 2m of the inverter
    • Bluetooth is activated on your phone
    • The inverter is powered on
    • Within the device settings, that the Bluetooth permission is allowed for the Dura-i App.
    • Make sure you are on the latest version of the Dura-i App

  4. Enter the Bluetooth password, if unsure of what this is it can be reset easily by tapping quickly the Bluetooth symbol 3 times, then choose a new password and repeat it, press reset password.
  5. Select 'End User'
If you are a customer select End User
  6. Select 'Settings' at the bottom right of the screen.
Once connected to the inverter, at the bottom of the overview page select Settings.
  7. Input SSID and password and press ‘Ok’
Scroll down to 'WLAN', and enter your Wi-fi details.
  8. Wait for the count down and 2 green ticks. Once the count down is successful and there are 2 ticks your system will now be connected to the Wi-fi. The light on the dongle will be green once connected.

If all else fails, log out and re-log in to the Dura-i App and do a full restart of the inverter system and remove the Wifi Dongle for off for 5 minutes, this gives the Inverter time to let the capacitor fully discharge. Once the time has lapsed, re insert the dongle and power on again.

If your inverters are set up in Parallel, please contact either your original installer or call the Duracell Energy Support line when you are at home. Changes can be made remotely and we will guide you through the whole process.
