# How much physical space do I need to install a Dura-i inverter?

For both Dura i G2 and G3 inverters alike, the clearances around the inverter are the same:

**Above** - 500mm  
**Below** - 600mm  
**Front** - 1000mm  
**Left side** - 200mm   
**Right side** - 350mm

If you are installing multiple inverters at the same height, we would advise 350mm between each inverter as a minimum.

 

The physical dimensions for the inverters are:

**G2**

**Height –** 494.5mm

**Width –** 585mm

**Depth –** 210mm

 

**G3**

**Height -** 533mm

**Width –** 377mm

**Depth –** 206mm

When looking at Battery selections the Dura 5 and 16 have no specific clearance requirements however they should be in a well-ventilated space to prevent heat build-up around the unit. Also, that they should be installed away from heat sources, open flames, and flammable materials.

Physical dimensions as a wall-mounted system will be:

**Dura5**

**Height –** 690mm

**Width –** 490mm

**Depth –** 110mm

 

**Dura16**

**Height -** 860mm

**Width –** 520mm

**Depth –** 235mm
